A resident of Ragama and a Canadian national who arrived in the country from Bangkok have been arrested with Kush drugs at the arrival terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
Police said that a suspect who was carefully concealed with 21 kilos and 779 grams of Kush drugs was arrested at the arrival terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake this morning (03).
The person who was arrested by officers of the Airport Unit of the Police Narcotics Bureau is a person who arrived from Bangkok.
Police also said that the suspect is a 42-year-old Canadian national.
The Police Narcotics Bureau is conducting further investigations.
Meanwhile, yesterday (02) afternoon, a suspect was arrested by customs officers at the airport arrivals terminal with Kush drugs.
The suspect is a person who had just arrived from Bangkok and has been arrested with 25 kilograms and 550 grams of Kush drugs that were carefully concealed and presented to the officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau Airport Unit.
The police say that the suspect is a resident of Ragama, about 38 years old.
The Police Narcotics Bureau is conducting further investigations.
