A fire has broken out in the Sankapala Reserve in Udawalawe, Dematagala.
The Udawalawe Police said that police officers, army camp officers, fire department officers and local residents worked together to put out the fire.
It is reported that the fire has destroyed an area of about thirty acres.
The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed and the Udawalawe Police are conducting further investigations.
