Girlfriend beaten by her boyfriend in a lodge, dies

The young woman who was being treated in the hospital in a critical condition has died after being assaulted by her boyfriend in a lodge in Ellakkala area, Nittambuwa.

Nittambuwa police said that the girl in question died yesterday (10) morning while receiving treatment.

A 28-year-old girl resident of Ridhigama, Kurunegala has lost her life.

The 29-year-old lover, a resident of Ratnapura, involved in the incident, was arrested and remanded after being presented to the court.

It has been revealed in the police investigations that the suspect boyfriend attacked the girl on the suspicion that she was having a romantic relationship with another young man.

The young woman who was attacked by her boyfriend on the 2nd of last year was receiving treatment at Vatupitiyala Primary Hospital in a serious condition.

The two had started and maintained this love relationship while they were studying at the university.

நிட்டம்புவ, எல்லக்கல பிரதேசத்தில் உள்ள விடுதி ஒன்றில் காதலனால் தாக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் ஆபத்தான நிலையில் வைத்தியசாலையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த யுவதி உயிரிழந்துள்ளார்.

குறித்த சிறுமி சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த நிலையில் நேற்று (10) காலை உயிரிழந்துள்ளதாக நிட்டம்புவ பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.

குருநாகல், ரிதிகம பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த 28 வயதுடைய யுவதியே உயிரிழந்துள்ளார்.

சம்பவத்துடன் தொடர்புடைய இரத்தினபுரியைச் சேர்ந்த 29 வயதுடைய காதலன் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு நீதிமன்றில் ஆஜர்படுத்தப்பட்டதன் பின்னர் விளக்கமறியலில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

குறித்த யுவதிக்கு வேறு ஒரு இளைஞனுடன் காதல் தொடர்பு இருப்பதாக சந்தேகத்தின் பேரில் காதலன் சந்தேகத்தின் பேரில் அவரை தாக்கியுள்ளதாக பொலிஸாரின் விசாரணைகளில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது.

கடந்த 2ஆம் திகதி காதலனால் தாக்கப்பட்ட யுவதி படுகாயமடைந்த நிலையில் வட்டுபிட்டியல அடிப்படை வைத்தியசாலையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்தார்.

இருவரும் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் படிக்கும் போதே இந்த காதல் உறவை ஆரம்பித்து பராமரித்து வந்தனர்.
